"Giant Pacific Octopus tile"

In the ocean waters off Seattle WA live this large and very beautiful octopus, depicted here in a tile. Wire across back for hanging, or can be set in installation. I sculpted the original in January of 2009- it took about a week to complete.
Greetings from Seattle, Washington! Featured here are recent works in clay by artist Allison Moore. She has been working in clay for over 15 years, throwing vessels on the wheel, hand-building, exploring architectural ceramics, and sculpting some of the earth's creatures, many of them the creatures of the Ocean- Whales, starfish, seahorses, crustaceans, turtles, etc. Please check back from time to time because updated pictures will be added.
